This is the third time in a row our customers are winning excellence awards from Brandon Hall. It was a gold for Mphasis in 2020, and two golds each for LTI and HDFCLife in 2021. All recognizing their excellence in talent acquisition.

2020 was a year of chaos and disruption. To disrupt the status quo and emerge as winners in a talent war requires a long-term focus. The Axis Bank TA and COE teams took on a transformative challenge with a goal to establish success for the next decade. The TA function impacts business by attracting and delivering high caliber resources to business teams. To achieve a strategic goal, the project teams took on the daunting task of rewiring their systems and processes. The numbers tell a very compelling story of impact and change.

 


The COE team invested time conducting user interviews and analysis in detail to understand the candidate journey and the recruiting experience. The team concluded that the candidate experience project could only succeed if there was a recruiting transformation project. E.g., Approving 150 offer letters in one go has ideally saved (149 X 3 minutes/letter) 7 hours & 45 minutes.

2) Mindtree’s existing army of Minds and their significant social presence aided remarkably in maximizing the referral channel and adding value to the overall efficacy of Mindtree’s talent acquisition process. The referral numbers shot up by 2X from FY2020-21 to FY2021-22.


3) The referral program has been contributing to increasing the total hiring numbers - 3X fold with an improved joining ratio of 10%. Hires through Referrals contributed to a 56% reduction in cost per hire when compared to sourcing vendors.


4) Through persistent efforts on campaigning, the referral percentage increased to 74% in FY 2020-21 from 51% in FY 2021-22, thus achieving 70%+ buy-in from Mindtree's total workforce.

COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented change in our lives. The technology world saw a seesaw in demand and hiring followed suit. April to Dec 2019 was a relative lull in hiring.
