RippleHire joined ETHRWorld's webinar, "Touchless Hiring: Which Recruitment Processes Can AI Fully Own Today," alongside talent leaders from HDB Financial Services and Canara HSBC Life Insurance. Stephen Kurianparambil, Associate Director of Customer Success at RippleHire, brought the implementation view, what actually happens when agents take over parts of a live hiring process at scale.
His starting test for what should become an agent: if a step in recruitment or onboarding is repeatable and rule-bound, it can be owned by an agent. Compliance checks were the clearest example. Stephen walked through an agent that runs background verification automatically, clearing candidates who pass and routing exceptions to the right approver with a documented reason, work that used to mean recruiters manually checking every candidate by hand.
The same logic extended further. Agents now follow up with candidates who've gone quiet, and auto-revoke offers when someone doesn't join after accepting, all without a recruiter chasing it manually.
Stephen was just as direct about where it hasn't worked cleanly yet. One agent produced quality output that wasn't calibrated well enough for recruiters to act on quickly, a real learning, not a failure. And on knowing when to pull an agent back, his answer was concrete: watch the ratio of candidates clearing background verification versus flagged for discrepancies. If that number moves the wrong way, the agent goes back for fixes before it touches another candidate.
