The person you interviewed should be the person you hire.

Shield is RippleHire's AI verification layer. It confirms candidate identity at every interview round, flags breaches in real time, and generates a tamper-proof audit trail — without adding friction to your recruiters' workflow.

AI Impersonation Check. Deepfake Detection. Interview Proctoring. All in one platform.

Remote hiring created an identity trust problem that manual checks cannot solve.

Proxy candidates, deepfake video technology, and AI-assisted impersonation have made visual checks unreliable at scale. By the time fraud is discovered after a hire, the audit trail to prove what happened rarely exists. Shield catches it before the offer - automatically, at every round.

Three verification capabilities. One integrated workflow.

AI Impersonation Check cross-references consent video against all interview recordings after each round — flags Clear or Breach automatically
Deepfake Detection analyzes video sessions for AI-generated or manipulated footage before the candidate advances
Interview Proctoring monitors behavioral signals — off-screen prompting, multiple voices, uncharacteristic response patterns — without interrupting the candidate
Configurable controls automatically block scheduling or offers for non-compliant candidates
Full audit report generated per candidate — Case ID, name, date, risk status, and evidence links
Override decisions logged with timestamp and user identity — every exception is auditable

Recruiters see the signal. Candidates never see the check.

Shield runs in the background of every interview round. Recruiters receive a Clear or Breach status in their existing workflow. Hiring managers only see candidates who have already passed verification.

Recruiters receive structured fraud flags with evidence — not just an alert that something looks wrong

Hiring managers review candidates who have already cleared automated identity checks

Compliance teams get immutable logs of every verification, override, and approval decision

Candidates complete a short consent video at the start — the only step they see

It’s not just about smoother processes. It’s about happier candidates.

Fraud caught before the offer

Impersonation, deepfakes, and proxy candidates are identified at the interview stage — before they reach your employee records or compliance audit.

2-img
No added steps for recruiters

Shield runs automatically between rounds. Recruiters get a Clear or Breach status in their existing workflow. No separate tool, no extra login.

Defensible audit trail

Every verification result, override decision, and approval is logged with timestamp and user identity — available for compliance review, legal challenge, or regulatory inspection.

The person you hire should be exactly who they said they were. Shield makes that verifiable, auditable, and automatic.

FAQs

1. What is Shield?

Shield is RippleHire's AI-powered candidate identity verification layer. It runs impersonation checks, deepfake detection, and interview proctoring as part of your existing hiring workflow - with no separate tool or login required.

2. How does Shield confirm candidate identity?

Candidates record a short consent video at the start of the process. Shield cross-references that video against all available interview recordings after each round. Where no consent video is available, Shield defaults to the candidate photo on file.

3. What does a Breach flag mean?

A Breach flag means Shield has identified a discrepancy between the candidate's verified identity and the person who appeared in a recorded interview. The recruiter receives the flag along with a full audit report. Configurable controls can automatically block stage movement or offer scheduling for flagged candidates.

4. Can recruiters override a Breach flag?

Yes. Recruiters can review the evidence and make a manual override. Every override is logged with a timestamp and the user's identity, creating a clear audit trail of the decision.

5. Does Shield add steps for candidates?

The consent video collection is a brief, guided step built into the candidate flow. Interview proctoring runs silently during the session without adding tasks or interruptions. Candidates do not see the verification checks running.

6. What does the audit report include?

Each candidate's Shield report includes a Case ID, candidate name, date of report, risk status - High Risk or Trusted - and annotated evidence links. All reports are stored as part of the candidate's immutable audit trail.

7. How do I enable Shield?

Shield is disabled by default. Existing RippleHire customers should contact their Customer Success Manager to enable it for their account.

8. Is Shield a separate product?

No. Shield is integrated directly into RippleHire and works alongside sourcing, interview management, offer management, and onboarding as part of the same platform.
